WE MUST TAKE MINISTRY TO THE HEARTS

I got this revelation. I saw from the Scriptures that Jesus ministered to the hearts of the people than to their heads, He was after the hearts and souls of the people because He wants them to make decisions that would lead to their salvation and give them eternal life. Jesus wasn’t trying to speak eloquently or use big grammar to convince them, he was only checking for faith and readiness in their hearts to believe and accept the good news, and in so doing He even refused to speak plainly to some of them because they have hardened their hearts against the Truth (He spoke to them in parables)

I saw that ministers of God would make a lot of progress in their callings if they are after the hearts of people and not their heads. Some ministers only minister to impress people and to sound good, some tries to win arguments while others try so hard to make the gospel make sense to people just as the way science and technology seem to make sense to the world, and because of this, their ministries became weak to change lives

1 Corinthians 1: 25. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

God have stopped me many times from teaching some truths about Him and His Kingdom to people, and I said “God, Why?”, But He said “Teaching it won’t change anything, these people are not willing to obey My truth”. I now see that ministry is not just about TALKING, I believe it’s more about TOUCHING lives in a way that they become transformed. So, I believe it’s more profitable to spend days praying that God prepare the hearts of people for His word and give us the right message that would save and change them than talking and talking for days without results—The gospel is not in “Talking” but in “Power”, that is, it’s in the ability to change lives

1 Corinthians 2: 1. And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 4. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

For instance, there’s so much God has given to me to do for the Church but up till now I can’t do many of them and it’s because many Christians today are not ready for such trainings and exposures. I have seen God block my spirit from ministering certain things because people’s hearts aren’t longing for such things, our focus is on something else, our focus is not on God and His Kingdom

In conclusion, it is better for you as a minister to spend six days praying for God’s people and just minister for one day provided that the one day ministration would change their lives and draw them closer to God. Also, as a Christian, know that if your heart is not yet fully after the Lord, even the most powerful ministration from the most anointed minister of God will not change your life, even if you happen to do well for a time, you will still fall back again.

Therefore, the Gospel and ministry is beyond words, talking and excitements of men, it’s a matter of hearts and souls, and we must take the gospel to the realm of the heart if it would produce everlasting results.

May God give you wisdom. Amen
