YOU NEED MORE THAN TEACHING

Even though teaching is a very good instrument for discipleship but I discovered that it is not enough to give you the transformation you need, for you to really become what you have been destined to become, you need TRAINING. Teaching is educational and informative but training is experiential and transforming, it’s so easy for me to gather some group of people together and start teaching them some new things they don’t know but it’s not that easy for me to get people who are ready to be trained to become something different from what they were before—This is because, good training comes with discipline, sacrifice, sufferings and pains.

Bible talked about some people who will be ever learning but will not be able to come to the knowledge of the Truth, I saw that the present generation of Christians are so full of teachings but void of training, Now, don’t get it twisted, I know that teaching is also part of training but training is much more deeper because it is seriously challenging and life changing. Teaching could take few months to complete but training could take years before you could attain maturity, perfection and mastery. Teaching influences the mind and intellect but training influences the heart (or spirit). You see, I have seen men who publicly demonstrated much knowledge and eloquence of speech, I mean they knew the Scriptures so well and can preach and teach very perfectly but when it comes to practicing and performing the things they preached, they were found wanting! So, I concluded that these preachers only passed through teaching and not training.

For instance, there are certain things I know today that I never got through teaching, I was never taught them, I learnt them through training. The Lord at certain point in my life exposed me to some difficult situations and unpleasant circumstances so that I can learn some things experientially and the things that I learnt at those times never left me till today, they are very much part of my life, and they changed me into who I am today. When I teach people some things today, they get so excited but they never knew that I learnt those things through pains and sufferings. Who knows, maybe the reason why you are currently passing through some hard times is because God wants to use the situation to train you—Bible said that God exposed the children of Israel to hunger and sufferings in the wilderness because He wanted them to learn that “man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”. You need to know that your Christian calling is a military destiny, meaning that you must be well trained to become stronger than the enemy, you being called into Christianity is a call to fight and you must know how to fight and win, you must master your spiritual weapons.

JESUS CHRIST DIDN’T TELL THE APOSTLES TO SIT DOWN AND LISTEN TO HIS TEACHINGS, HE TOLD THEM TO FOLLOW HIM—TRAINING IS A JOURNEY AND ONCE YOU FAITHFULLY COMPLETE THE JOURNEY, YOU CAN NEVER REMAIN THE SAME AGAIN!!

THERE ARE SOME MISTAKES, ERRORS AND SINS YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DO AGAIN BECAUSE YOU HAVE BEEN TRANSFORMED THROUGH TRAINING!!! If you really want to manifest the fullness of your calling and destiny to your generation, then go get trained!!!! Amen.
