WHO DO YOU WORSHIP?

““Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the LORD your God and serve only him.’ ””

Matthew 4:10 NLT

The devil showed Jesus all the kingdoms of this world and their glory, and said he would give them all to Jesus if he could bow down and worship him but the Lord Jesus will not give in to this because that is not actually what he came into the world to achieve. Some of you might say “the devil must be foolish, why can he expect that Jesus would take the bait?”, one thing we need to note is that Jesus was 100% human even as he was 100% the Son of God, So, he was subject to every weakness you and I have today, therefore Jesus had to make a CHOICE on who he would serve even when He could choose otherwise. There’s no human in this world who having seen the beauties of this world would not want to have them, but we all have to make a choice and this choice will determine whether we want to serve God or Satan. Yes, Jesus came from heaven and had seen the beauties of Heaven but I want you to know that when you are in the flesh, your flesh could be so strong upon you such that you will forget about heaven and will be so busy trying to gratify the desires of your flesh—But Jesus chose to deny himself so as to gain God and His Kingdom.

All the temptations Jesus faced was meant to prove to heaven and to the dark kingdom who He was and what He stands for, the same thing applies to every Christian, we get tempted because we must prove to heaven and hell who we really are as well as what we stand for. Recently, I began to think back on all the choices I had made in this life and I found out that I had actually made some serious choices, and because of these choices I had made, it appears as if a great part of this world is already dead to me and I found no pleasure in them. Now is the time for us to ask ourselves this humble question: Who do I worship? Or Who do I serve?, you can see from the last temptation of Jesus that there’s a PRICE for worship, because Jesus must worship the Father, he rejected the beautiful offer coming from Satan. So, if you tell me that you worship God, I won’t believe you until I see you reject the pleasures and beautiful offers of this world that are ready to compete with God in your life.

Sometimes when I look at the Church of God today, I began to wonder who we are really worshipping, I see a Church that is worshipping the creatures of God in place of the Creator, we worship the gifts of God in place of God, we even worship ourselves and our possessions…Some people think it is until you go to the altar of Satan and bow down to him that you have actually worshipped him, but that’s not true. There are a lot of Christians and preachers today who are already worshipping Satan, how do I know this?, 1) if you can’t let go of something you so much desire to gain Christ and His Kingdom, then you don’t worship God. 2) If you shift your faith and trust in God into something or someone else, then you don’t worship God. 3) If you will not obey the will of God or answer God’s calling upon you because of something or someone, then you do not worship God!

TODAY’S CHURCH IS FULL OF MEN AND WOMEN WHO WANTS TO USE GOD TO GET WHAT THEY WANT BUT ARE NOT READY TO DO AND GIVE GOD WHAT HE WANTS, WE LIFT UP OUR HANDS TO WORSHIP A GOD WE DO NOT SERVE!! OUR HEARTS ARE SO FAR FROM GOD, IN FACT, I BELIEVE MANY OF US HAVE GIVEN OUR HEARTS TO THE DEVIL BECAUSE WE ARE MORE CONTROLLED BY WHAT THE DEVIL IS DOING THAN WHAT GOD IS DOING…AND WE ARE SO HAPPY WALKING IN DARKNESS AND IN THE FLESH!!!

If you truly worship God, you will serve Him only!!!! Amen.
