WHAT REVIVAL IS NOT

There are a lot of things happening in churches today that we have termed to be “Revival”, but these manifestations are not actually the real revival. Revival is not signs and wonders, it’s not miracles, it’s not fastings and prayers, it’s not organizing beautiful church programmes, it’s not organizing praise concerts or vigils, it is not clapping of hands, jumping, shouting and all forms of religious gymnastics we see in churches today. Revival is not eloquence of speech, revival is not the ability to pull crowds unto yourself or your ministry, Revival is not having multitudes of people attending your church services, Revival is not prosperity, it’s not riches and wealth, it’s not having international connections and influence in your ministry. Revival is not FAME OR POPULARITY, Revival is not winning the hearts of many people unto yourself, revival is not making many people like your ministry. Revival is not a temporal change in people’s lifestyles, Revival is not being at peace with lukewarmness and sins…Revival is not in the titles you gave yourself, it’s not in the name you gave your church or ministry…What then is Revival?!

Revival has a lot to do with AWAKENING, It means to become awakened unto your God or Maker, it means being reconnected to the Source of life, it means being sorrowful and convicted of your sins, it means complete repentance from sins, forgiveness and salvation of souls. Revival is having a PERSONAL ENCOUNTER with God, it is being filled with the Holy Spirit, it is also being led by the Holy Spirit, Revival is being empowered from Heaven to please God and to do His will on earth, Revival is doing ministry in such a way that the heart of the people would be turned to God and not to you, Revival is having a fellowship of believers where sin is hated by everyone, where love is the binding force, where everyone is united in the Faith and in Spirit, and where the presence of God is always felt. Revival is a kind of situation whereby people are so much HUNGRY to know God more, to please or obey God more, to win more souls for the Lord, to see the will of God being done on earth, to see people’s lives get transformed and freed from the bondage and oppressions of darkness, to see righteousness prevail in their nations, and to see the glory of God cover the whole earth.

REVIVAL IS MORE DEEPER THAN THE PHYSICAL MANIFESTATIONS WE SEE. REVIVAL IS A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE THAT HAPPENS TO THE SOUL AND SPIRIT OF A MAN!! REVIVAL IS WHEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS ESTABLISHED OR ENTHRONED INSIDE YOUR HEART AND SPIRIT!!! Revival is when you are not just carrying fire in you but you have now become a Fire against sin, darkness and evil works. Amen.
