SHADOW OF DEATH

You know that the shadow of a thing is not exactly that thing but it depicts the presence and influence of such thing. Many of us are very familiar with this common Bible verse which says “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil… Ps. 23:4” but there’s much we need to know about “the shadow of death” and that is the reason for writing this article.

Death is an enemy of Life, and Bible says it is the last enemy to be destroyed by God, however, before its complete destruction, death still has a lot to do on earth. Now, there’s a physical death and there’s a spiritual death, the physical death is practically when you stop breathing and your heart stops beating but the spiritual death is when you are eternally separated from God and Heaven. What are shadows of death?, Shadows of death are the environments of death, instruments of death, agents of death, demons of death and clouds of death. A Shadow of death is anything that carries the presence of death such that the thing can kill and as well be used to kill…It is very important that we Christians have knowledge of all the shadows of death in this world and understand how to walk through them unhurt. I will list out some of these shadows and explain them each:

1) SICKNESS AND DISEASE. I looked at the world now and I saw that people hardly live long, in fact, between the age of 40 and 50, a lot of people would have already got an illness they will be nurturing till they die. And I began to say “No, this is a shadow of death that should not prevail over the Church of Christ”, Do you know that Jesus didn’t heal the sick just because He wanted to show forth the Power of God?! He also healed a lot of people because He saw that sickness is a bondage of death and he had compassion on them and set them free to fulfill their destinies. I have seen Christians who couldn’t fulfill their callings and destinies because a sickness suddenly appeared at a time in their lives and ended their lives untimely. I perceive strongly in my spirit that the Church need to prayerfully wage war against this shadow of death and banish it from our midst or render it powerless against us, we need to start trusting God for our healing and health and not trust in man’s discoveries (many of us believe so much in doctors than we believe in Jesus). Also, we need to start praying until we get healed.

2) DEMON POLLUTED FOODS. Recently, the Lord began to tell some things about majority of the foods we eat on daily basis, He said “the dark kingdom has polluted the food and agricultural industries of the world and my people are too blind to see this”, You see, there are a lot of evils the devil and his agents has programmed into the things we eat and drink on daily basis, and these things are killing us both spiritually and physically. I asked the Lord saying “How do we survive at a time like this with all these pollutions?”, He said “the solution is in My presence, let My people stay in My presence, the Power of My presence will save them”. And I began to wonder, how many hours do people spend with God nowadays! To be continued.

SOME CHRISTIANS WILL SAY “LET ME JUST DIE AND GO TO HEAVEN, I’M TIRED OF THIS WORLD” BUT THE TRUTH IS, GOD AND HEAVEN NEVER WANTED YOU TO DIE YOUNG (ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVEN’T FULFILLED YOUR CALLING AND DESTINY)!! YOU MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO DEFEAT PHYSICAL DEATH YET BUT YOU CAN DEFEAT THE SHADOWS OF DEATH…THIS GENERATION NEEDS CHRISTIANS WHO HAVE GAINED POWER WITH GOD TO STOP THE COURSE OF DEATH ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD!!!
