SIGNS OF AN APOSTLE (2)

An Apostle means “the one who is sent”, he is a man raised by God so as to be sent out on a mission, however, the major difference between apostles and other five fold ministers is the fact that they are not only sent out with a message, they are being sent on a mission to establish or plant God’s Kingdom on new grounds, and they MUST ensure that what is being planted survives, prevails and becomes so rooted such that it spreads across all the grounds of the Apostle’s assignment. Now, when I said God sends him on a mission to plant on new grounds, these kinds of grounds can be physical (such as foreign lands, nations, places that lacks the gospel etc) or spiritual (such as people’s hearts and minds, uprooting false doctrines and planting the true ones, proclaiming and enforcing a Kingdom Truth that is unknown or forgotten, pioneering a great Revival move, and ensuring Order and Unity in the Body of Christ). An apostle is such a man that carries the whole of the Kingdom of Heaven with him to wherever God sends him and he has been trained to start and finish whatever he started…he doesn’t build on another man’s foundation, he starts his own foundation…!

Other signs of an Apostle include:

3) HE HAS A LOT OF REVELATIONS OF JESUS AND HIS KINGDOM. Apostle Paul excelled so much in divine revelations such that the people of his days trembled at his letters than his own physical appearance, all of his letters were included in the Bible not only because he was an apostle but also because he was a man of deep revelations of Jesus and the new testament. In fact, he himself said because he knew so much divine mysteries, God had to put a torn in his flesh so as to humble him (knowing so much can naturally make a man proud). An apostle is such that has been wired by God to have access to deep revelations of God and Heaven, he doesn’t get these revelations occasionally, he gets them almost anytime he needs them (this is because his mission requires this). He is someone who is so close to the Angelic realms (you can’t be mighty in revelations and have nothing to do with angels), he also has a personal fellowship with Jesus (He sees Jesus directly and not only through the Holy Spirit).

4) TRAINED IN DARKNESS. The way God trained apostles is what actually makes it difficult for them to turn their backs against God and His Kingdom, I must say that these men gets the hardest training ever, yes, because God trains them to become men that will not fail Him eventually. It is God who chooses the environment of their training, and you might be wondering why I said they were trained in darkness, You see, the reason why some of you think you can’t sin against God or deny Christ is because your present environment is so comfortable, convenient and conducive for your Faith to thrive, So, if God changes the environment of our comfort and peace, many of us are likely to deny Christ openly. Therefore, God uses some very hard and dark situations to train His apostles so as to be sure of the level of their spiritual strength, love and Faith. In fact, God can deliberately expose the apostle to some serious temptations, trials and Satanic attacks, and would fold His hands to see how the apostle will survive and come out victorious at the end. An apostle is someone the whole of heaven can trust and depend upon.

5) HE HAS A SENSE OF DESTINY. If you study the life and ministry of Jesus on earth very well, you would discover that Jesus went about with a conscious sense of who He is, where He came from and what He came to do on earth. Jesus had a full understanding of His divine destiny and He didn’t live a single day on earth without the sense of it. Apostle Paul spoke of the fact that God had set him apart as an apostle even before the foundations of the world was laid…meaning that he knew exactly that it was his destiny to become what he became! An apostle is not someone who is confused or deceived about his destiny and mission, he knows who he is whether people see him as that or not.

And because he knows he must finish his course before he leaves this world, he doesn’t joke with his times and days. Also, because the apostle carries a sense of destiny, he helps others discover their divine destinies and show them how to fulfill them, you can’t walk with an apostle and be useless to yourself, he can prophetically discern who you are and give you assignments that would help you pull out much of the treasures that are in you…And he is ready to pray with you until you become who you are destined to become. To be continued.

I KNEW OF AN APOSTLE WHO WAS PHYSICALLY BLIND, AND GOD HAD USED HIM TO OPEN THE EYES OF MANY BLIND PEOPLE BUT GOD REFUSED TO OPEN HIS OWN BLIND EYES…THIS WAS BECAUSE THIS MAN WOULD BE ABLE TO MINISTER THE BEST OF GOD TO PEOPLE AS A BLIND MAN!!

HOW MANY OF YOU CAN ASK GOD TO TAKE AWAY SOMETHING YOU SO MUCH LOVE AND DESIRE SO THAT THE BEST OF GOD AND HIS KINGDOM CAN FLOW THROUGH YOU?!!!…When will the things of God mean more than life to you?!!!! Amen.
