SIGNS OF A PROPHET (3)

There’s more to the prophetic office than the points I had mentioned and will still mention under this teaching topic. By Signs, I mean the things you will see in the lifestyle and ministrations of a Prophet, but these are just fragments of what a prophet really is as well as what he does for the Kingdom of God. There was a prophet in Nigeria many years ago who could literally disappear while ministering from the pulpit, I mean the people won’t see him again in front of them, and the next place they would find him would be either on the rooftop or on a tree outside the church building—I know some of you might be wondering how can the Power of God do this, Well, the truth is that, the Holy Spirit can do anything with the prophet just to show forth a SIGN to the people (in order to increase and strengthen their faiths)…We have heard of prophets in Nigeria who would suspend and walk on the wind like ghosts before the eyes of everyone…!

Other signs of a Prophet include:

7) FACE TO FACE WITH JESUS. You need to know that Jesus Himself chooses who to appear to, how to appear to such and when to appear, So, you can’t force yourself into this kind of experience except you want to see a FAKE JESUS. By Face to Face, I do not mean that you saw Jesus Christ in a vision, I mean that you would see Him physically and can even hold or hug him just like you would do to a fellow human. Jesus usually appears to His prophets this way at the early stage of their callings (so as to confirm, strengthen and encourage them to obey the Call) and also at a point when He is going to be giving the prophet a new or special assignment to do for Him. There’s nothing as beautiful, encouraging and reassuring as seeing your Lord face to face, this kind of experience usually meant a lot to those prophets who had it.

8)) SPIRITUAL GIFTS. A prophet can have all the nine spiritual gifts mentioned in the Bible, however, there are certain spiritual gifts a prophet must have for him to successfully operate in his office, they are: the gift of prophecy, the gift of word of wisdom or word of knowledge, and the gift of discerning of spirits. Spiritual gifts are like weapons of operation we use for ministry, but the fact that you possess the spiritual gifts I just mentioned doesn’t make you a prophet (what makes you a prophet is divine revelation or visitation from the Lord Himself) but a prophet must definitely possess the gifts I have mentioned above.

9) RIDING ON THE WINGS OF SPIRITUAL SONGS. The prophetic ministry has a lot to do with spiritual songs, and this is why most prophets are lovers of anointed gospel songs. Now, prophets don’t listen or sing spiritual songs only for their spirits to be blessed, they also do that because spiritual songs are like chariots that can carry the spirit of the prophet up into the heavenly realms, yes, even to the very throne of God in heaven. At a certain point when Elisha was going to prophesy, he asked for a minstrel to play him some music, and as the minstrel played, his spirit connects with heaven and he prophesied with Power. There are certain songs I personally can never forget because they played a huge role on my spirit, I have ride on songs for spiritual operations like Intercessions, spiritual warfare, To get divine revelations, To hear God’s voice, To get instant victories and To enter into the realms of God. This is also the reason why some prophets are gifted in singing and songwriting…When some prophets begin to sing in the Spirit, that is when certain mighty miracles begin to happen among the people.

THE CALLING OF A PROPHET IS NOT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD JOKE WITH, GOD DON’T JUST RAISE PROPHETS, HE RAISES THEM WHEN THERE’S A HIGH DEMAND FOR A CHANGE AND REVIVAL IN A GENERATION…IF GOD HAS CALLED YOU WITH THIS CALLING, WHY HAVEN’T YOU EMBRACED IT YET?!!

MY CALLING BECAME SO IMPORTANT TO ME TO THE POINT THAT I HAD TO LEAVE MY JOB TO LEARN OF CHRIST AND BE TRAINED BY HIM, AND WHEN I LOOKED AT HOW MANY LIVES MY MINISTRY HAD BLESSED TODAY, I REJOICED THAT I LEFT ALL TO EMBRACE MY CALLING…God doesn’t wait for man, we are the ones to wait on Him, if you delay in embracing your calling, He might have to replace you with someone else!!! Be Wise. Amen.
