MUST YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT PEOPLE?

I saw that many of us have built around ourselves great limitations and have created problems for ourselves while trying to know so much about people that we met or met us. Apostle Paul mentioned in 1 Cor. 2:2 that he determined not to know anything among the Corinthians except Jesus and him crucified, he did this because he knew that trying to know so much about the people’s lives could limit the demonstrations of God’s Spirit and Power from him to them and it could affect the success of his ministry among them. You need to know that as good as knowledge is, it could be a force of limitations, temptation and pollution, there are some temptations you wouldn’t have fell into if you were not trying to know more than you have known about some people. Even on Facebook and other social networks, you don’t have to know the people you see or come across in detail…Maybe you suddenly saw a very beautiful picture on Facebook and the next thing you did was to click on the picture, browse through the person’s profile and keep asking questions like “Oh, how old is this one?, which country is this one from?, Is this person married or single?…” in your heart—Now, I am sure that as you continue in this knowledge adventure of the picture you saw, you are likely to end up in sins and demonic pollutions or even into greater troubles.

Before thinking of knowing so much about people, why not try to firstly know the POSITION OF CHRIST in their lives, and ask questions like “Do they have Jesus in their lives?, Do they know Jesus as they should, Do they love Jesus as they should, and What would Jesus have me to do for them or with them???”, when Jesus is the factor that binds you together with people, that is when both you and the people are safe, and not only that, that is also when you would have set a platform for God to be glorified and for His Power to be demonstrated. Have you ever asked yourself why the name of the tree God forbid Adam and Eve to eat from was “tree of knowledge of good and evil”?, it shows that there are certain things you should not know if you want to keep the Presence, Power and Glory of God with you continually, meaning that it is not all the time that “knowledge is power”, sometimes knowledge makes you powerless, weak and a prey. And you “not knowing” can make you powerful and victorious sometimes. There are some people who expect prophets to know everything about their lives by just looking at them, and this is very wrong and demonic, it is not everything about your life that God will show a prophet, in fact, if there’s a prophet that always know everything about people, you might need to stay away from him because he is not likely to be from God…Even Elisha confessed while looking at the shunammite woman saying “this woman is so troubled in her spirit and God has hidden her problems from me” and Elisha had to ask her “Is all well?”….If our prophesying and prophecies unto people doesn’t reveal and glorify Christ, then such prophecy is not from the Lord because Bible says “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy”.

I have found myself helping and trusting some people I never knew (as in physical), and they told me how could I do that since I don’t know them, I said “well, I already know you in Christ, and that knowledge to me is enough”.

WHEN YOU HAVE ALREADY KNOWN A LOT OF TERRIBLE THINGS ABOUT PEOPLE’S PAST AND PRESENT LIVES, IT WOULD BE SO DIFFICULT FOR YOU TO SEE THEM CHANGING FOR BETTER AND HAVING A GLORIOUS FUTURE EXCEPT YOU HAVE A STRONG RENEWED MIND!!

LET US LEARN TO SEE AND KNOW PEOPLE WITH JESUS’ EYES AND MINDS…IT IS MORE POWERFUL WHEN PEOPLE OPEN UP THEIR HEARTS AND TELL YOU HIDDEN THINGS ABOUT THEIR LIVES THAN WHEN YOU TRY TO PULL UP THE INFORMATION BY YOURSELF!!! Some knowledge we seek about people can limit both our destinies and theirs as well—Be wise!!! Amen.
