HAVE YOU BEEN DELIVERED FROM THE WASTING SPIRIT
The wasting spirit is an enemy of prosperity, progress, success, elevation and wealth. Many times we are the reasons why God isn’t blessing us. God does not believe in waste. Even though everything in heaven is in excess, God still hate wastes. How effectively and efficiently are you using the blessings God give you per time? Are you a Christian who spend lavishly on getting things that have no godly or eternal value?
One day, God was explaining to me what it means to be possessed by the spirit of waste. He said “Take a look at the water coming out of the tap, once you turn open the control knob, water will keep rushing out without stopping but once you close up the knob, the water will stop. Therefore, anyone who can’t control the desire to spend money on fleshly lusts and prideful desires is a waster”
The Lord said you can be a giver and still be a waster. You are a waster when you can’t withdraw yourself from buying things you don’t actually need
The wasting spirit will want you to keep on spending money until the blessings God gave you is completely exhausted, and it is not that you are spending on things that pertains to the Kingdom of God but you are spending on your lusts and greed.
And then you would say “I don’t know what is taking money away from my hand”, there’s nothing taking money away from your hand, it is still YOU who is spending them, it’s because you are under the captivity of a wasting spirit
1 Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
If at all you will “waste” money, let it be that you waste your money on God. Like the woman in the Bible who brought a very expensive alabaster perfume box and broke the box to anoint the feet of Jesus, and Jesus was so pleased with such kind of “waste” and said anywhere the gospel is preached, the woman’s name will always be mentioned
Luke 7:37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, 38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
However, this spirit of waste will not allow you to lavishly spend your resources on God, when it comes to giving to God, that is when you take a measurement and calculator and start measuring and counting but when it comes to your lusts, you don’t measure and count—What a selfish generation we are!
This I have found, I realize that when you don’t “waste” your resources on God, God will hand over your resources to the devil and devil would waste and use them for you. Devil can use a sickness or disease to waste them, can use all manner of problems, addictions, false prophets and pastors, scammers or fraudsters, lottery or betting, robbery, etc to waste them
Brethren, the reason why many are still not blessed by God today was because the first blessing God gave them was ungodly wasted and misused, So, God refused to bless them again because He knows that they will waste His blessings again. If you want to enjoy endless blessings from God at this time, you must repent and ask God to deliver you from the wasting spirit
Luke 19:17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
How many of you are humble and sensitive enough to know when you should spend and when not to spend?, Every blessing God gives has a divine budget attached to it, if you don’t use God’s blessings according to His budgets, you will end up stranded and will end up borrowing…Do you want to receive more blessings or big blessings from God?, then first defeat the spirit of waste and you will be blessed almost immediately you have this victory
When I say “defeat the spirit of waste”, I do not mean you should become stingy but I meant that you must limit spending on things that are not necessary as far as God’s will and timing is concerned. For instance you want to waste 150 dollars on getting something 50 dollars could get, and God keep saying to your heart that set aside 100 to bless some two people out there who needs help! Or you are planning to buy a shoe you might not wear in the next six months! Or you keep buying stuffs for your kids knowing fully well that they won’t use them, etc
These things I’m telling you are practical issues God dealt with me on personally and it was after these dealings I now understood what Psalm 23 verse one really meant, yes, if truly God is your Shepherd and leads you on your spendings, YOU WILL NOT LACK ANYTHING FOREVER! May God give you wisdom. Amen
