EVEN IF GOD WILL NOT…!

Many of you have read about the story of the three Hebrews (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) in the book of Daniel and how they survived the burning fiery furnace of King Nebuchadnezzar, but there is a great lesson in that passage of the Bible (especially Daniel 3:16-18) that every Christian should learn. These Hebrew men demonstrated what I call “the highest level of faith”, they told the King that they know that their God is able to deliver them from his fiery furnace but even if God will not deliver them, they still would not bow down to the image or Idol of the king. The great lesson here is that, they did not base their faith in God on the positivity of circumstances, they are ready to believe, trust, honor and obey God even if God will not deliver them from their negative circumstances or situations.

There are TWO ENDS to faith. There is a portion that says “keep believing until you receive the miracle because God is able”, there’s another end that says “keep believing and trusting God even if you don’t have what you want from Him”. But majority of us tend to agree with the first dimension of faith than the second, we always find it difficult to continue loving and trusting God once He did not give us what we wanted from Him at the time we wanted it. In fact, some people would even stop following God and would start following false prophets and devil’s agents because they felt “when I needed God to help me, He did not, so why not follow those ones who solved my problems”…What many of you don’t know is that, sometimes God is taking time to try your faith to see if you would still continue steadfastly with Him despite the fact that you didn’t get what you wanted! It is when God has seen the maturity of your faith that He will now show you His Glory and Power.

WHEN GOD IS STRETCHING YOUR FAITH, HE CAN REFUSE TO DO WHAT HE SHOULD DO FOR YOU. HE IS DOING THIS SO AS TO BRING YOU UNTO MATURITY WHERE YOU WILL SAY “EVEN IF GOD WILL NOT TAKE AWAY THIS PROBLEM, YET I WILL LOVE HIM, TRUST HIM, BELIEVE HIM, OBEY HIM AND FOLLOW HIM”!! God is still God, no matter what..!!! Amen.
