You know, today, it is easier for people to say “I am born again” than to say “I have been crucified with Christ”, and I began to wonder if we really understand what it means to be born again—This is because being born again is all about transformation and becoming a new creature such that there must be a change or shift between who you were before and who you are right now that you are saved. The term “born again” suggests that your first birth was faulty and useless to God, therefore He made a provision to ensure that you are being BORN the second time and this is called the New Birth.
Now, we need to know that becoming born again is not limited to “saying salvation prayers”, it is far deeper than that, it is a PROCESS that continues till you die, it’s all about becoming like Jesus, It’s all about becoming a new creature that is different from who you were before. Therefore, you need to agree with me that it is impossible to become born again without you being crucified with Jesus on the Cross, you must practically identify with Jesus in crucifixion, death and resurrection, and without this, there’s nothing like transformation or new creature. Christianity is not about you but about the NEW YOU we are yet to see, therefore, Salvation without transformation is a failure. If we are dead with Christ, let it be that we are really dead. And if we are alive with Christ, let it be that we are no longer the previous person we used to be.
I saw that we have thousands of people in the Church today who only said salvation prayers but were never crucified with Jesus and never transformed, there was no difference between who they were before and who they are now—In fact, some of them have even become more worse than who they were before they entered church. Paul said in Gal. 2:20 saying “I have been crucified with Christ…”, Kathryn Kulhman, a great woman of God but now dead said “I had died a long time ago”…Can you also boldly say that the person we are seeing now is not you but a new person in Christ?! When will your anger, lusts, pride, bitterness, hatred, hypocrisy, fornication and adultery be crucified with Jesus?, When will that covetousness, love of money, worldliness, selfishness, seduction, addictions and wickedness in your life be crucified with Jesus?…How we need a generation of Christians who are born again indeed! How we need a generation of Christians who live daily in the Spirit and not in the flesh!!
CAN YOU BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF?, TAKE A DEEP LOOK INTO YOUR LIFE AND CHECK IF THERE ARE STILL SOME ELEMENTS OF THE FLESH THAT IS NOT YET DEAD, THEN TAKE THEM TO THE CROSS AND KILL THEM ALL!!
IF GOD DOESN’T NEED MY CARNAL NATURE, THEN WHY SHOULD I KEEP IT ALIVE?, A YEAR LIVED IN THE SPIRIT IS BETTER THAN THOUSANDS OF YEARS LIVED IN THE FLESH…I will rather die than go back to the world!! Are you crucified with Christ?!!! Amen.
