CROSS BEFORE CROWN

THE LORD told me something sometime ago that I think you should know, He said “A lot of Christians want to be identified with my Power and Glory but not with my suffering and death, how then should my Power flow through them”. He showed me from 2 Corinthians 4:10-12 that the “dying of Jesus” must be working in us before the Life of Jesus can manifest in us and through us to the people. I now began to wonder how much many of us want to carry a huge anointing of God upon us so that we can heal a lot of sick people and raise up many dead, but yet it seems those things are not happening through us!

We want to carry a glorious “Crown” without first of all bearing the “Cross”, we want to command great Power from heaven but we are not ready to suffer for heaven’s sake. I see that today a lot of people want to answer to the title “Apostle” but they don’t seem to know what the calling of an apostle entails, Today, I saw that the calling of an apostle is a call to death, you must die and keep on dying every day, you must as well suffer seriously for the sake of God’s Kingdom. It is not a calling to have fame, nor riches and wealth of this world, in fact, you must lose everything you have ever had to gain Christ…But I’m afraid of the Christianity we practice today, where everybody want to gain all things and are not ready to lose anything, we want spiritual promotion and elevation but we are not ready to pay the price!

How much of Jesus’ sufferings and pains have you known?, Paul said he wants to know Jesus’ sufferings (Philippians 3:10), the knowledge we are talking about here is experiential knowledge, meaning that he wanted to know the sufferings in his body, he wanted to suffer as Jesus suffered and as much as Jesus would have him to suffer for the sake of God’s Kingdom.

IT’S A SHAME THAT TODAY WE NOW HAVE A GENERATION OF CHRISTIANS WHO ARE TOO COMFORTABLE AND LAZY TO DO ANYTHING FOR GOD, AND EVEN THOSE WHO APPEAR TO BE DOING SOMETHING FOR GOD ARE DOING IT FOR THEIR OWN SELFISH INTERESTS!!

MANY OF US EASILY BREAKDOWN WHEN FACED WITH LITTLE CHALLENGES OF LIFE…NO ONE WANTS TO WALK THROUGH THE WAY OF SUFFERINGS AND SELFLESSNESS (WHICH IS THE WAY OF THE CROSS) AND YET WE WANT TO WIELD A GREAT POWER AND ANOINTING!!!

You see, Christianity is not a joke, you must seriously suffer for your life to reveal God’s great Glory to the world!!!! Amen.
