WE DON’T HAVE SAME DESTINATIONS
Sometime ago, I boarded a bus to return back home from where I visited, and the bus was filled to capacity with people but what happened that really made me come up with this topic was that, more than half of those who boarded the bus together with me had already reached their destinations before we got to the last bus stop, each of them came down from the bus as they got to their destinations. And the Lord ministered to me saying “those who alighted from the bus before you reached the last bus stop are not wrong for doing that, they had to come down because that was their destination, Likewise, every man on earth shouldn’t think he has the same destination with those around him”. I discovered that many of us usually tend to PATTERN our lives to suit that of others (especially the people we see as successful people) and we want to do things the way they do theirs so that we can get to where they get to, What if your own destination is further than theirs!
For instance, let’s say a boy of 10 years old suddenly walk up to his parents and said “my mom, my dad, after I finish college, you got to put me in a Bible school because God has called me to be a missionary”, Now, most parents of today are not likely to agree with such a boy, they would say “there are great things you could as well become in this world than becoming God’s missionary Or why not do mission work after you had become a doctor or an engineer or a successful entrepreneur…” However, what the parents doesn’t understand is that, someone who is going to a far destination should have started his or her journey very earlier. This is because the earlier you start a journey, the surer you would be that you would arrive at your destination IN TIME. Let us stop measuring our success and progress in life by that of others, stop comparing your destiny with other people’s destinies….It is a good thing to learn from other people’s achievements but it is a wrong thing to want to do things as they do theirs Or want to LOOK EXACTLY like them! Your journey might look very slow, but you never know maybe that’s how you would get to your own destination.
DO YOU KNOW THAT SOME PEOPLE WILL NEVER GET TO THEIR OWN DESTINATIONS IN LIFE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT FOLLOWING THE ORIGINAL PLAN OF GOD FOR THEIR LIVES!! YOUR DESTINATION IS THAT PLACE WHERE YOU WILL REACH AND YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO SAY “I have fulfilled my course, I have fulfilled my calling or destiny”!!! Stay on your own track. Amen.
