THOSE WHO SERVE AT THE ALTAR SHOULD EAT FROM THE ALTAR

This is the continuation of my teaching on “Biblical pattern for giving and collecting offerings”. If you read through 1 Corinthians 9:9-14, you will see it clearly that it is the will of God for those who bless you with spiritual things to reap your material gifts or money because a laborer is worthy of his reward, God has ordained that those who minister of the gospel should also live or survive through the gospel! Now, let us answer this question: Is it right for a minister of God ask people for money?, Plainly speaking, if such minister of God has been a blessing to you or to the body of Christ, there’s nothing wrong with him asking you for financial support – It is the will of God and very scriptural that you should bless the vessel God is using to bless you…In fact, if your pastor or mentor or whoever God is using to enrich you spiritually is suffering and you refused to help him, God is going to deal with you because you have sinned!

I have studied the generation of today’s Christians and I found out that when a man of God is talking spiritual things, we will like him, follow him, love him, get closer to him, request him for prayers etc but when he starts talking about money and financial assistance, we will start doubting if he is a genuine man of God or not, some will even call him a false prophet, some will immediately block him on Facebook – This is very wrong! You don’t need to wait until your man of God comes to you for help before you reach out to bless him and you don’t have to be so rich before you do this (even the little you have can go a long way to help him). Men of God are not angels, they don’t just fall from heaven, they are human beings like you and they do face the same challenges and trials and temptations you face on daily basis – When last have you checked on your pastor or prophet just to ask how he is doing and if all is well with him?!

Though some men of God have decided to become like Apostle Paul who decided not to rely on the people for support because he doesn’t want anything to hinder his ministry, he wanted to be free with everyone, but that doesn’t mean he must follow this path. God will not come down from heaven to take care of His ministers, He will have to use people to bless them…Even when Jesus was on earth, He was housed, fed and clothed by people, all his needs didn’t fall down from heaven! I saw that the spirit of the love of money has possessed many Christians today, we don’t take care of our genuine men of God, we now carry our money and wealths to give to false pastors and prophets who are deceiving us – This is wickedness!

It’s not all men of God that should go into secular jobs but some were forced to do this because they couldn’t get help from us.

THE REASON WHY SOME OF OUR PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED IS BECAUSE WE ARE NOT BLESSING OUR MINISTERS OF GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS SPEAKING AGAINST SELFISH AND SELF CENTERED CHRISTIANITY!!

YES, GOD KNOWS HOW TO PROVIDE FOR HIS MINISTERS BUT MUST WE PROVOKE GOD TO MOVE IN JUDGMENT?!!! Repent!!!! Amen.
