THE NIGHT COMETH

When Jesus said He must do the works of God while it is day because the night cometh when no man can work (John 9:4), many of us do think that Jesus was talking about “age”. But I understand that “the night” in that Bible passage was not referring to age but to TIME. There are some things you can’t do again because the time for that thing has already passed – Therefore, it is wisdom to discover what you must do at a particular time and be able to do it while you still have that time. According to divine calendar, what can only be done in the day cannot happen in the night no matter how much you try to do it.

Many of you already know what God has called you to do for Him and His Kingdom but you keep on postponing the calling till when it will be convenient for you to fulfill it, Now, if you continue to do this, I am so certain that very soon your night will come and you will not be able to carry out the divine assignment again. When I say your night will come, I did not mean “when you grow too old in age” but I mean when the time for that calling upon your life is up… For instance, if God has been calling you since ten years ago and you refused to answer the call, it is possible that your night for that call can come this year! You need to know that God doesn’t wait for men, we are the ones who should wait on Him, if you appear to be so useless to God, God is going to find another person to replace you. If you think you are too big to obey God’s instructions and carry out His will, He is going to bypass you and reach out to someone who is humble and obedient.

Another thing you should note is that, once the night comes, every door, helps, opportunities, connections, grace and blessings that you need to fulfill your calling will close. Jesus knew when his night will come, and that was why he didn’t joke with every single day of his life, he was always busy with the Father’s business (even from the age of twelve), You see, there are some things about your calling and destiny that must happen at a particular time of your life, and if you missed that time, they might not happen again till you die. If you don’t start ministry at the right time God wants you to start it, you are not likely to finish it well or succeed as you should. There was this brother who knew God is calling him into ministry, he used to have dreams of him ministering to people and performing signs and wonders but he ignored this calling for more than 15 years, after he had achieved so many things in this world, he now went to a pastor saying “Sir, I think I am now ready for God” but the man of God said “Bro, God has given your assignment to another person, and that is why you don’t have those dreams you used to have again”…Some people went into ministry while it is night and that is why little or nothing is happening in their ministries, they kept God waiting for so long…!

I WONDER WHAT THIS GENERATION THINK OF GOD, WE THINK WE CAN JUST PUT GOD ON A SECOND LIST WHILE WE GET BUSY WITH OUR OWN THINGS, WE PLACE OUR OWN INTERESTS AND DESIRES ABOVE GOD’S WILL!!
IT IS WISDOM TO REMEMBER GOD AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE AND PLEASE HIM…THE NIGHT COMETH WHEN ALL YOUR LABOURS AND EFFORTS WILL YIELD NOTHING!!! Be wise. Amen.
