SIGNS OF AN APOSTLE (3)

Some years ago I used to believe that an apostle is someone who can raise the dead or have raised the dead but later I discovered that “raising the dead” is actually what any believer can do, in fact, a newly born again Christian with strong faith can bring the dead back to life in Jesus’ name. However, raising the dead is also a common sign of an Apostle’s ministry, this is because God wants to publicly prove to people that He is the One who raised up the apostle and has sent him. Just as a prophet is known by his words coming to pass, an apostle is known by many signs and wonders confirming his ministry among the people (2 Cor. 12:12).

Other signs of an Apostle include:

6) MIGHTY MIRACLES. Joshua looked up during one of his battles with the enemies of Israel and said “You Sun, stand still” and the Sun refused to set for several hours, the kind of miracles that happen in apostles’ ministry is usually “MIGHTY” and “STRANGE” because it’s as though God is literally walking beside them to work the miracles, God does these miracles to show how close He is to the apostle and to also confirm the Apostle’s calling so that the people can believe and receive him. In fact, there are times where apostles don’t need to pray for the sick before they get healed, the sick suddenly gets healed while the apostle is still preaching or ministering.

7) HE IS PROPHETIC. In many cases, apostles are first of all prophets and teachers before they receive the Apostolic Mandate, as it was the same with Paul the apostle, Paul was one of the prophets and teachers in Antioch (Acts 13) before the Holy Spirit gave him an apostolic mission together with Barnabas. Apostles have prophetic gifts so as to function perfectly in their apostleship, So, you shouldn’t expect an apostle to function in the prophetic as a full-time prophet will do but there’s nothing about the prophetic that is strange to him—Therefore, all the signs I had written earlier about the Prophet are also applicable to apostles.

8)) HE HAS A GOVERNING ANOINTING. An apostle is such a person that is so gifted to lead people, he is also a man of authority and influence such that people listen to him and obey him, his ministry naturally attracts followers and he doesn’t have to coerce, control, deceive, or manipulate the people to follow him! If there had been a serious confusion, tension or strife in a church, an apostle has a unique wisdom to bring about peace, unity and order within few hours or days. An apostle don’t seek for honor, titles and positions, but the anointing upon him is such that commands honor and respect from people, yes, even from kings and presidents of Nations.

9) PROBLEM SOLVING ANOINTING. Apostles are gifted in such a way that they can discern the source of a problem and prophetically understand the way out of the problem. Now, if there’s a minister who happens to have too much PATIENCE, that person is likely to be an apostle, this is because it will take serious patience to get problems solved—The reason why some miracles don’t happen in our churches anymore is because we are so low in patience, we don’t know how to keep waiting and praying in faith for days and weeks until we see the miracles…Our generation has become a fast food generation where we always want solutions to manifest instantly. An apostle does not only know how to get problems solved, he also train others to do the same, he’s not someone who will tell you to go and sit down while he prays for you—He will teach you how to pray and get results for yourself, he will show you the way of strength and victory. AN APOSTLE IS SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO SURVIVE IN A PLACE WHERE THERE’S NO PHYSICAL MEANS OF SURVIVAL, HE HAS BEEN TRAINED TO SUPERNATURALLY SURVIVE!!

AN APOSTLE WILL NOT TELL YOU TO EXERCISE A FAITH THAT HAS NOT WORKED FOR HIM, IF HE ASKED YOU TO BELIEVE GOD FOR SOMETHING, YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT HE HIMSELF HAD BELIEVED GOD IN THE SAME WAY AND HAD SEEN GREAT RESULTS!!!…

God is tired of men whose hearts are so full of doubts and questions, He is looking for men who are ready to die in faith because He is faithful!!!! Amen.
