SERVE GOD WITH FASTINGS

Sometimes when I tell some people to go into fasting and prayers, they will reply me saying “I have fasted so many times and prayed and nothing happened” but I saw from the Bible that fasting is not only useful when you need a breakthrough, it is also part of your service to God. Meaning that as much as you needed to fast, God also need your fasting. Fasting is one of the ways your spirit ministers to God (Acts 13:2) and there are some divine strength that can not be established in your spirit if you do not fast, So, God needs your fasting to do some operations in your spirit, life and calling. In fact, God needs our fasting to touch the churches, nations and our generation—If there’s anything God needs and you have not given Him yet, that thing could be fasting.

In Luke 2:37, the Bible talked about a certain prophetess who never left the temple but served God day and night with fastings…I perceived in my spirit that God is looking for a generation of Christians who will not only fast because they needed a breakthrough or success but because God needed them to fast. Maybe you have been asking God to visit you and reveal Himself to you, inasmuch as God is willing to visit you, you might need to give God some fastings for you to experience His visitation. Now, I’m not saying that God can’t help you if you don’t fast but I’m saying that you might not be able to receive some help coming from God if you do not fast, meaning that God need your fasting because of you and your generation and not because of Himself – Your fasting does not make God more powerful nor less powerful. Just as God needs our faith, He also needs our fasting to do things in our favor and this is why He gave Grace to some people to do long days fasting without them feeling any pain.

Why do God need your fasting?, you need to know that fasting has a way of setting your spirit free from the power of your flesh, your spirit becomes a more powerful weapon for God to wield when you are fasting than when you are not. Also, there are some divine impartation coming from heaven that needs you to be in fasting to receive them, it’s like a man who is trying to force some big things into a container that has small opening, no matter how much the man tries, he will not succeed—Therefore, fasting has the ability to open up your spirit or stretch it in order for you to receive certain impartation, spiritual blessings or Grace coming from heaven.

Fasting should not be something you do occasionally such that you can count the number of days you fasted in a year, it should be something you do very often, just as you take your bath often…You should not only fast because you have a problem and needed a way out, you should fast because it is your commitment and service to God.

I LOOKED INTO THE CHURCHES AND I SAW THAT WE HAVE BECOME SO WEAK IN FASTING!! SOME CHRISTIANS ARE LOOKING FOR PASTORS AND PROPHETS THEY CAN PAY TO HELP THEM FAST…WE WANT TO SEE THE MOVE OF GOD BUT WE ARE NOT READY TO PAY THE PRICE FOR IT – THE EARLY CHURCH BELIEVERS WERE MEN AND WOMEN OF FASTINGS, LITTLE WONDER WE HAD RECORDS OF OLD WOMEN RAISING THE DEAD…!!!

Are you thinking you had fasted too much?, I will like to tell you that you have not fasted at all, God needs more of your fasting!!!! Amen.
