I DON’T CARE FOR WORLDLY CARES

You and I know that there are quite a lot of things to care about in this world, in fact, they could be so many such that you could keep thinking and thinking on them throughout a whole day. So, I spoke to myself saying “these worldly cares are appearing stronger because I cared so much about them”, I now decided to start caring for things more important, rewarding, valuable and profitable than worldly things – The heavenly things. Jesus Christ gave an exhortation in Matthew 6, saying that our thinking and worrying cannot change anything but that we should SEEK FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness…I discovered that, the more you seek after heavenly things, the less you would care about worldly things. So, you can’t be pursuing after the things of the Kingdom and that of the world at the same time – It’s not possible. You would have to come to a point where you would have to CHOOSE which direction to go, whether the way of the world or the way of the Lord! It is until we care or seek after divine things that God would also care about our physical needs.

What are worldly cares?, they include: what would I eat, what would I wear on my body, where to get shelter, how do I make money, how do I get employed, how do I get married, would I ever have kids, things you need for beauty and self pride, the need for a good car or vehicle, how do I attain my ambition in life, how do I get promoted in my field of career, how do I get the highest level of self satisfaction (either through sex, alcohol, smoking, hard drugs, partying etc), how do I take care of my spouse and kids, how do I achieve my goals etc. Now, there are some of the things I just listed that are not necessarily sinful, in fact, some of them are the basic needs of life and we would need them for survival, However, caring so much for them does not really guarantee that you would get them. God is showing us from the Scriptures that He is responsible for meeting our needs just as He is responsible for supplying the needs of other creatures such as: birds, animals, ants, fishes etc. So, all you need to do is to seek after God’s Kingdom and God’s Righteousness, trust God and all your physical needs shall be provided by God 100%!

IF TRULY YOU HAVE BEEN RISEN WITH CHRIST (i.e if you are actually born again), YOU SHOULD SET YOUR MIND AND AFFECTION ON THINGS ABOVE AND NOT ON THINGS ON THE EARTH (Colossians 3)!! I DON’T CARE FOR WORLDLY CARES BECAUSE I AM NOT OF THIS WORLD, MY WORLD CONTROLS THIS WORLD!!! Amen.
