HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN HEAVEN?

I need to ask you the above question because of what I observed in the Church of God today, So I began to wonder, Do you still remember there’s a place called heaven? And that it doesn’t take a careless walk to enter there?! The Bible established in 1 Peter 2:11 that we are pilgrims and strangers in this world and because of this, we must abstain from fleshly lusts that war against the soul—But with the way many so called Christians today have so much embraced worldliness and fleshly lusts, I began to wonder if we still remember that we are on a journey to heaven. If truly you are a pilgrim on earth, why do you live as if you belong here?, why are you trying to gain the world at the expense of pleasing God?!

This world is like a marketplace and testing ground to Christians, Imagine you walking through the stores and a very beautiful dress caught your attention and you got so glued to the dress to the point that you determined you must get the dress by all means and at all cost, and you spent days and months just trying to get the dress for yourself to the point that you forgot you were actually on your way home before you got distracted—This is a picture of what is happening to so many believers today. You see, if all you have been doing and living for since the beginning of this year is how to satisfy yourself, your wants and your lusts, then I must boldly tell you that you are VERY FAR from heaven. Heaven is not for people who are living for themselves, it’s not for people who are so comfortable with the systems of this world and are ready to compromise with them, heaven is not for pleasure seekers and proud lookers!

What is that enjoyment you found in this world that has made you forgot heaven?, Even the Bible said that henceforth, let those who are married begin to live as though they aren’t married, Why?, because the TIME is very short, the END is near. I was talking to someone recently who was afraid of dying young for the sake of the gospel, I said if truly you don’t belong here, you shouldn’t be afraid of anything that will release you to be with the Lord forever, in fact, you should gladly embrace such. Does this world look so beautiful to you that you now forgot heaven?, but the truth is, the present beauty of this world is nothing to be compared to 2% of heaven’s beauty and the worst thing is, all the beauties and glories of this world will soon melt away by fervent heat! Are you so proud that you are a citizen of an earthly country and you no longer care about heaven’s citizenship?!

SOME OF YOU WERE SO DESPERATE LOOKING FOR EARTHLY BLESSINGS TO THE POINT THAT YOU STOPPED FOLLOWING JESUS BECAUSE GOD DIDN’T GIVE YOU THOSE BLESSINGS!! DON’T YOU KNOW THAT THIS WORLD IS A TESTING GROUND THAT IS MEANT TO PROVE WHETHER YOU TRULY LOVE THE LORD MORE THAN YOUR OWN VERY LIFE!!!

If your Christianity is so self centered, world centered and materialistic centered, then heaven is not for you!!!! Amen.
