DO YOU LOVE CORRECTION?

I discovered that many Christians today including ministers hate correction. In fact, we take the people correcting us to be an enemy, other times we take them to be jealous and envious, we feel like “he’s correcting me because he doesn’t have what I have, he doesn’t have the same abilities and opportunities I have”. We have forgotten that whoever rejects correction rejects Life, there are some people in hell now who wished they had heeded to correction when corrected but it’s too late for them to be saved now.

I saw that the Spirit of God is sounding a lot of warning bells to the ears of many across the world today and I know that the same Spirit will still do more as we approach the end of time – Will you hearken to the sound of the trumpet?! What is it that the Holy Spirit is telling you to stop doing?, Do you want to die and perish forever?! I personally believe that “correction” is an act of love and should be embraced cheerfully, in fact, it is an act of mercy, this is because if God wants you to perish, He would not correct you, He would just keep watching you doing the wrong things till you die in your sins.

God can use anything and anyone to correct you – embrace them. No matter how anointed and gifted you are, you are not bigger than correction. No matter how influential, wise, skillful, talented, wealthy, great and famous you are, you are not bigger than correction. If the great men of old and kings can yield to correction, how much more should you!
The spiritual principle is “take correction away from those who are ready to perish”, meaning that sometimes if God is going to judge a man, he will make sure that he receives no correction because it is difficult to repent when you believe what you are doing is the right thing. Also, sometimes you might need to look for correction instead of waiting for God to send someone to correct you – God has given us the Bible and spiritual leaders for us to seek guidance, correction and reproof.

HOW DO YOU FEEL WHENEVER YOU ARE BEING CORRECTED?, DO YOU LOVE TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO WILL TELL YOU THE TRUTH OR YOU LISTEN TO THOSE WHO WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR?!! THE FUTURE OF CHRISTIANITY AND THE CHURCH OF TODAY WILL DEPEND ON HOW MUCH WE HEARKEN TO THE SOUND OF CORRECTION COMING FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT!!! Be wise. Amen.
