BLINDED BY EMOTIONS (2)

Some people say “Why did Adam take the forbidden fruit from Eve and ate, Shouldn’t he be stronger than the woman??” but I do believe that Adam was blinded by emotions and he couldn’t reject the sinful idea coming from his wife, and that was why the first thing he said when God rebuked him was “it was the woman you gave me…”. Similar thing happened to Abraham, he took the advice from his wife and fathered a child with her maid and the whole world is still suffering from the consequences of this action of Abraham until this day. My point here is that, it is possible for you as a Christian to be so blinded by familial emotions to the point that you sin against God and make very wrong decisions. By familial emotions, I mean emotional connections between you and your spouse, your children, your grandchildren, parents and relatives.

Do you know why Jesus Christ said anyone that comes after Him must hate their fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters?, it is because Jesus knows that emotional connection between siblings and family relatives could stand as a barrier to any Christian that really wants to do the will of God, even at a point, the siblings and parent of Jesus came looking for him (I guess they must have missed him so much) but He told them that his siblings and relatives were those people who were right there with him hearing the word of God—This implies that your emotional connection with your spouse, closest parent or child, siblings and family relatives must surrender to the will of God. I have seen women who failed to carryout the call of God upon their lives because their husbands didn’t agree with it, then I began to wonder, When did your husband become greater than God?! You see, as good as marriage is, it must surrender to the will of God, God has never created anything that would become greater and more powerful than Him, So, any preacher or doctrine that says you must sin against God in order for you to save your marriage is of the devil, and such is from the antichrist.

You can’t love your wife or husband more than Jesus, it is a sin if you do that. Likewise, you can’t obey your spouse at the expense of disobeying Jesus, meaning that if your current obedience to your spouse implies direct disobedience to Jesus, you must disobey and displease your spouse so that God can be pleased with your life. You see, marriage ends here on earth, there’s no marriage in heaven, So if you make marriage your god and you let it turn you against the living God, both you and your spouse would be mercilessly thrown into the lake of fire (except you both repent). Also, I saw that certain Christian parents fail to discipline and train up their kids in the way of the Lord because they “love” their kids so much, and I began to wonder, Which kind of love do you have for your kids that makes you watch them sink deep into sin and you fail to correct and discipline them! The kids you fail to train now can be the ones who will kill you tomorrow (ask Eli).

WHEN JESUS CALLED YOU (AT SALVATION), HE CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS SO THAT YOU CAN BE WITH HIM, AND HENCEFORTH ANYTHING THAT WANTS TO PULL YOU BACK INTO DARKNESS MUST BE SERIOUSLY DEALT WITH…IT DOESN’T MATTER HOW CLOSE AND IMPORTANT THE PERSON OR THING IS TO YOU!!

I AM NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD GO AND DIVORCE YOUR SPOUSE OR DISOWN YOUR CHILDREN BUT YOU MUST BE READY TO DISAGREE WITH AND DISOBEY ANYONE WHO IS LEADING YOU CONTRARY TO THE WILL OF GOD…EVEN IF YOU LOSE YOUR MARRIAGE IN THE PROCESS (IT IS BETTER YOU LOSE MARRIAGE AND GAIN CHRIST)…Be Wise!!! Amen.
